Resins-Online provides access to the world of 3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing (AM). The UP! Pus Personal 3D printer is just one of the many ways of processing three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The 3D printing process is different to the usual method of model making or prototyping in that it is an additive process rather than a subtractive process. The subtractive process relies on the removal of material such as SikaBlock PU model board that is milled using a CNC machine.
The UP! 3D Printer uses FDM technology (Fused deposition modelling) which involves a filament of ABS or PLA material being feed into a heated head that then extrudes the softened material to produce the layers required for the model as dictated by the digital file.
